Handmade Variations “Sisters, Not Twins”
Every piece of Sandy Hands Pottery is handcrafted in my home studio in the South West of Western Australia. Because each piece is shaped, glazed, and finished by hand, natural variations will appear from item to item.
These may include:
- Slight differences in size or shape
- Subtle glaze variations, drips, or pooling
- Unique speckles, textures, or colour depth
Minor differences in weight or curve These characteristics are not considered faults they are part of the beauty of handmade ceramics and what makes each piece truly one-of-a-kind.
I like to describe my pieces as sisters, not twins related, harmonious, and made with the same care, but each with her own personality.
What You Can Expect
When you order from Sandy Hands Pottery, you may notice:
- Your piece may not look exactly like the product photo
- Sets will be visually cohesive but not identical
- Glaze patterns will vary naturally
- Handmade marks may be visible
